You are invited to Avondale's Early Intervention
Screening for 3 and 4 year olds

Avondale Schools offers free Early Intervention Screening for children residing in the Avondale School District.  The screening this year is scheduled for April 30, 2010.

The screening program is designed to give parents valuable information regarding their children's development.  A trained professional observes children in an informal play atmosphere for 30 to 45 minutes.  Areas observed include social, motor, communication and conceptual development.  Hearing screening is also available.  Following the observation period, parents have the opportunity to conference with the examiner.

Children are eligible for screening if they reside in the Avondale School District, are three years of age on or before May 1, 2010, and if they are four and will NOT be age eligible for kindergarten in the Fall, 2010.

For additional information about the program and to schedule an appointment for your child, please call the Avondale Special Services Office at 248.537.6004.

If you have a neighbor or friend who is an Avondale resident with a 3 or 4-year old child, please pass this information on to them.

Take advantage of this informative program!
