Avondale Early Learning Centers Mission Statement 

The Avondale Schools Early Childhood community strives to provide a warm, nurturing environment that encourages the development of the whole child - physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually.  We believe that a good early childhood program must:

 

  • Offer quality programs by trained professionals
  • Provide access to families of diverse backgrounds
  • Promote creativity and creative thinking in our students
  • Foster partnerships between parents, teachers, students, staff, and community
  • Provide a nurturing environment that focuses on building positive self-esteem
  • Provide a foundation for further learning experiences
  • Utilize developmentally appropriate practices

The Avondale Early Childhood Centers offer full and half-day
developmental and academically-based programs, along with
supplemental childcare components, which are available for
children who will be ages three and four by December 1, 2012.

We want to help you provide the best start for your child. You've been invited to participate in the Ages & Stages Questionnaires, Third Edition (ASQ-3), to help you keep track of your child's development. Please click on the link below for more information.

Applications for Avondale’s 2013-14 Great Start Readiness Program

are now available outside the door of the Student Services office at

2940 Waukegan in Auburn Hills. 

 Applications must be completed and appointments scheduled

before Wednesday, July 29, 2013.

 

Prioritizations will occur the first week of August.

 

Any qualifying applications received after the prioritization will be placed on a wait list
